New Pages from Peter's Book

These are the first pages from the new book that starts with Peter's birth.

Scrapbooking End of First Moses Lake Book

These were the final pages from my first Moses Lake book. The next book starts with Peter's birth. And yes, I know the Halloween page says "Halloween 2012." Oops -- got to fix that!

various new projects

New scrapbooking layout - moving into the new house / new garden. So I'm only about 8 months behind with pics. But I want to get through the next set so I can get to the fun new baby pics.
Stockings I finally finished. They've been all but finished for about a year and a half. Started with felted sweaters and cut the stocking shapes, stiched, and added the faux fur tops.
Denim roads for Eva's cars (from Pinterest). Took denim scraps and cut into strips, then painted with yellow lines. Probably need to add puffy paint or that nonskid paint-on stuff to the bottoms so they don't slide so much and serge the edges, but they're essentially done. Very easy!

Food

Here's a recipe for muesli that I think you might like. I will write it and then tell you about my suggested changes.

Apple Walnut Muesli
1 1/2 c. oats
1/2c. oat bran
2 c. milk
2 lg. apples, grated
1/2 c. raisins
2 T honey
1 T lemon juice
2 t. vanilla
1/2 t. cinnamon
Mix all. Cover and fridge overnight. In the morning add:
1/2 c sunflower seeds
1/3 c. wheat germ
1/4 c. walnuts, chopped

This made A LOT! I would cut it in 1/4 for dad and I. I did make it for Fri morning and we did eat some more on Mon. but I had to toss some out.
Good that it is make ahead so breakfasts are easy.
Seemed too sweet.
I add a lot more fun stuff in the morning, either healthy or fresh fruit, etc.
Think maybe I will add the dry stuff (entire recipe) and just keep and put a little in a bowl and add the milk (buttermilk is my favorite here) for any time that I want to have it the next morning.

Now I will try to get a photo on this site. Wish me well.

new scrapbooking pages

I finally got about a year's worth of photos printed, and I'm starting to get a few pages done here and there. I'm trying to use my Silhouette cutter more (which is fun) and also add more words and journaling into the photo book so we remember what was going on (not so fun to do, but I like the finished product--especially since my memory is so bad).
